Welcome to the first installment of the Wednesday Wish List! Friday’s usually get all the glory but Wednesdays are such an underrated day! It deserves to be celebrated! Because after all, it’s the middle of the week, baby! Only 2 more days to go!

So, what is this Wednesday wish list I speak of? Here I’ll be talking about any favorite things of mine or what I’ve been enjoying this week so far. And also, things I have on my radar that I’ve been eyeing. I would love for you to weigh in if there’s anything you’ve been loving, too! In this day of the internet, it’s hard to hear an unbiased opinion from someone, without them trying to get something in return.

And I promise you that I am getting nothing in return for talking about these products. They are literally just things I’ve loved or that have made my life easier! There may be some affiliate links in these posts, but nothing sponsored! So, let’s start it off!

1) A Collapsible Wagon, here’s a link to one similar.

I won this puppy at a fundraising auction anticipating using it for future beach vacations. We almost dread going down to the beach when we’re on vacation just because between the two small kids who don’t want their feet in the hot sand, the ginormous beach bag, the gazillion beach toys said kiddos have to have, and the bulky cooler, it’s a lot of work. And then you have to lug it all back up, this time with two exhausted kiddos.

Well, I haven’t gotten to use it in this capacity yet. But, I have been using it at the ballpark. It’s amazing!! First of all, it’s collapsible so it easily fits in my trunk and on top of that, it’s actually easy to break down. Unlike some strollers I’ve owned. Second, it’s lightweight so I can do it all by myself. Third, my kids love riding in a wagon. And last but not least, it is soooo functional. I’m able to throw the diaper bag, toys, stadium chair, my purse, blankets, and whatever else I can think in there. Seriously, if you have young kids, this is a life saver.

2) “The Silent Wife” by Kerry Fisher

I love to read. If I have the choice between watching a TV show or reading a good book, I’m more than likely going to choose the book every time. This one was recommended to me by a coworker and I just loved it. I think I read it in about 3 days. It was such a breath of fresh air reading something from a new author and it kept me in suspense the whole time. This author kind of reminds me of Liane Moriarty in the way she switches points of view. Highly recommend!!

3.) The Simple Kitchen Cookbook

I ordered this on a whim on Amazon, and I have to say, it’s a keeper. I’ve only made 3 recipes out of here so far, but my family has loved all of them. There was a meatball parmesan skillet that I added over spaghetti. I’ve tried the homemade arrabiata sauce which is to die for. Next time I make it, and there will be a next time, I’m going to slow cook it all day. I’ve also made the pulled pork and, as a matter of fact, I’ve got it going in the slow cooker now as we speak.

If I had to sum up this cookbook in a few sentences, I would say these look to be very simple, easy to do, everyday recipes. And from the ones I’ve tasted so far, are just delicious. I’m a foodie but also a busy mom and I so appreciate having these recipes in my arsenal for a quick but tasty dinner.

4.) Thermos Funtainers for Kids

We have so many sippy cups in our house. Some are simple to put together, some you have to have a degree in molecular biology to assemble. (Disclaimer- the latter never get used in our house.) But what none of them did very well was keep the kids’ drinks cold for very long. So enter my quest for an insulated, easy to put together sippy cup.

These Thermos funtainers hit the mark on all accounts. I can put them together in a snap, they have lots of fun options to choose from for the outside, and they keep drinks cold for foooooorever. I can’t express how much I (and my kids) love them. They are kinda pricy for a cup, but well worth it for us. We have the unicorn and Spiderman one.

5.) Safavieh rugs

I now have about 6 of these in my home. 2 in the mudroom, one in laundry room, one in family room, one in hallway, and one in our master bedroom. I love the looks of these rugs. They come in all different colors, styles, and patterns imaginable but at an affordable price. I’ve only had some of them for 9 months or so, some less, so I can’t talk about the longevity. But the quality seems great so far!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the new Wednesday Wish List! Drop me a comment below if you have something you’ve been digging!
